Mulberry tree bark
The branches of the mulberry shrubs are harvested in the autumn, and the innermost layer of bark (white bark) is stripped from the timber and boiled in a mixture of water and soda ash. The strips are then beaten by hand until they have been well separated.
The diffuser is formed by hand sewing each of the prepared clusters of fiber to a cotton grid, which has been fastened to the base structure.
The colour of the material is a soft white that yellows a little with age. To clean diffusers in this material, we recommend that they be dusted or lightly vacuumed.

Handcrafted lighting at Asian Restaurant in Germany
Ever travelled to Germany and missed Asian food? I certainly do, and there are a few Asian restaurants in different cities where Ango collaborated with the architects in illuminating the space with our handcrafted lighting "Hanging World". Hanging World, hand-weaving rattan ceiling lights by Ango
The pendant lamp diffuser is composed around a flattened tetrahydron structure, which is then clad with superfine extruded rattan, generating a warm and beautiful light quality.
Schweinfurt is located in the Lower Franconia region of Bavaria. Today Schweinfurt is the City of Industry and art, where you can find beautiful historic buildings and also good museums. The must-see one is Banker Museum that shows the largest civil air defense exhibition during World War II and the Cold War from 1941 with 3 metre-thick walls.
